For 2025, for a trial period of 54 days, those who intend to visit the Historic Centre of Venice* will need to pay an entry fee.

The cost of the ticket for daily visitors (from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) is ten euros per person (five euros if booked at least 4 days in advance), while children under 14 years old are exempt from payment.
EXEMPTION for visitors to the Boat Show (30/05-02/06) and participants in Vogalonga (08/06)
Exempt from the contribution fee are visits to the historic centre from 4:00 PM to 8:30 AM.
The mandatory registration and payment must be made online, both on the website cda.ve.it and at the counters (automatic and non-automatic). After payment, a QR code will be generated with the visitor's name, which must be shown in case of inspections.
Those who do not possess the ticket risk fines from 50 to 300 euros.
Other anti-crowding measures already planned include:
prohibition of tourist groups with more than 25 people;
the obligation not to use loudspeakers for guided tours in the centre and on the islands of Burano, Murano, and Torcello;
prohibition on stopping tourist groups on bridges or in narrow alleys.
*The Minor Islands (e.g., Burano, Torcello, Murano, etc.) are exempt from the Access Fee
