From Punta Sabbioni, in just under half an hour (route 14),<\/strong> you can reach the island of Lido di Venezia, a long bank of fine sand<\/strong> that protects Venice from the sea.
Its extensive beaches, frequented in years past by mostly aristocratic clientele, enchanted writers such as Byron, Shelley, and Mann, making it a renowned seaside resort. Furthermore, since 1932, every September the Lido has hosted the famous Venice Film Festival<\/strong>, an event that has contributed to its fame.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Leaving the Lido, taking a last look at the “minor” islands of San Lazzaro degli Armeni, San Servolo and San Giorgio Maggiore, in a few minutes we are in Venice. We enter through the city’s “main gate,” marked by the two columns.
The view of Piazza San Marco<\/strong>, unique and marvelous at every hour of the day, with every change of light, is thrilling.
The Doge’s Palace<\/strong>, St. Mark’s Basilica<\/strong>, the Campanile<\/strong>, and the Clock Tower<\/strong> will leave you speechless.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The excursion to the lagoon islands is particularly charming due to the enchanting landscapes that can be admired during the motorboat ride. Indeed, you pass through the area of \u200b\u200bthe Venetian lagoon known as the “Northern Lagoon<\/strong>,” characterized by sandbanks and small islands separated by canals and ghebi (water channels).
Flora and fauna reign supreme in these places, where the tranquility is disturbed only by the small, typical lagoon boats (sandoli, mascarete, and the more modern cacciapesca), the only ones capable of navigating the shallow waters of the ghebi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
