Every year, in the heart of summer, Cavallino-Treporti comes alive with the Festa della Sparesea, an event dedicated to the promotion of asparagus, a typical local product, a symbol of the local gastronomy and agricultural tradition of the Venetian lagoon.

Origins and tradition
The festival was created to celebrate the white and green asparagus grown in the countryside and gardens of Cavallino-Treporti.
